Privacy Policy
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
This tool was built with privacy as a foundational principle. We believe you should have full control over your data.
Our subtitle translation tool does **ABSOLUTELY NOT** store, record, or transmit your API keys, subtitle files, or any other personal information to our servers. Because there are no servers. The entire translation process occurs directly within your web browser.
How It Works
- When you upload an SRT/VTT file, it is loaded directly into your browser's memory. It is never uploaded to any server owned by us.
- When you enter your Gemini API key, it is used to make direct requests from your browser to Google's AI services. We do not see, log, or store your key.
- You can verify this for yourself by opening the Developer Tools (F12) in your browser and inspecting the "Network" tab. You will see that all API requests are made directly to Google's domains.
Saving Your API Key
For your convenience, we offer an option to save your API key in your browser's local storage. This allows you to use the tool again without having to re-enter the key.
If you choose this option, the key is stored only on your computer, within the sandboxed environment of your web browser. However, please be aware that if your computer is compromised by malware or unauthorized access, this stored key could potentially be accessed.
**The responsibility for the security of your computer and the choice to save the API key locally rests entirely with you.** We are not responsible for any loss or damages that may arise from a compromised local environment. Do not use the "Save Key" feature on a public or shared computer.
